Mbaleigh talks BACK TO THE CITY 2013



 

So yeah BACK TO THE CITY2013!!


You know mos umntomnyama, never on time, I got there at past 7 because of other commitments. Nevertheless the show was just on another level, heard that Snarks Ou and Maxhoseni had people dancing and singing along, even outside Cape Town they still have fans. Having seen them both perform I couldn't agree more.



There were some new faces as well, well I forgot them. So we were told about this crew from the "states" called EMC, that was a performance they pulled after some group came in and bored us.
They did their thing except for the part that they Performed for more than 15 minutes, that got the crowed bored including me guess the saying "too much of a good thing is bad" applied in that situation whereas the likes of Tumi, Reason & Tuks just to name a few only performed for 5minutes then their time was over. We needed to hear more of their performance though, but who are we to change the rules.


I'd pay any amount just to see our local artist perform longer, Tumi and Reason got us up on our toes. There was a guy from Soweto that performed with Tumi, given the chance and exposure I tell u he will go places. He reminded me of Ndlulamthi, his voice was just beautiful.



And then came Proverb, wow latata is on another level I tell u, much respect pha and he comes with a lot of message in what ever he spit.

Kwesta:) oh what a talented young boy, he pulled it through and it was a great performance as well. He left everybody wanting more but time wasn't on his side just like everybody else.
New talents were there and the show was great. Ofcourse not everybody will agree because we as people we always find something negative in everything that happens.



BACK TO THE CITY made me realize that we can do so much if we stand together and support each other, with Jozi Hip Hop that is exactly what is happening. Working together instead of pulling each other down. CPT can learn a thing or two apha*giggles*.


Would I go attend such an even again? YES, it was all worth it

    I don't wanna sound like whatever but next time please accommodate everyone because some Xhosa words be disturbing what I read here,stick to English or just write it in Xhosa I won't bother to read it again.good job anyway keep it up. .
