Hip hop to me is a platform where one can basically showcase their artistic sides, it needs so significant of how and why.So many portray is wrong due to lack of understanding of the art, hip-hop has become a culture, a home an item, there's some sense of belonging for me cause all u have to do is either u write or express!
Ya there are other genres out there but they have their own kinda meanings but to me its something I got personally attached to at an early age at that I knew little about it,it wasn't all about the music hence it involved a lot now and am not only a fan of hip hop I am hip hop.
Hip hop is a lifestyle with its own lingo, dress code, and its own people...i live hip hop i grew up in a household of boys so the only music i started listening to was hip hop...and what i like about hip hop is that there's a lot of message sent through its music dealing with the way of life we live...i breath hip hop its the only genre i know background of thats way i love it..

Well...
I found hip hop to be something that I liked at very young age and this was because my uncle played it a lot around me when I was young.
The love kicked in when I started listening.
Hip hop means a lot to me,it is an outlet for my thoughts and perceptions. This is what makes it worthwhile to me and it is what hip hop means to me.
Why hip hop; because I relate to hip hop and what it taught me. To add...I then enjoy the creativity that goes into it, then how it makes a person realize things about the things around them and I can't sing.
The endless possibilities in how a song can sound and ultimately show you, the various stories that teaches the world lessons if one listens...that is when it is a good track.

i describe hip hop as an element 4 young rappers to raise their silenced voices, raising social awareness, issues that are really happening in our communities...one of the tools that tells untold storiez and also powerful cause it unites youth from different communities, backgrounds, cultures.
What excite me are the stories and the reality that rappers do rap about..not forgetting the entertainment they deliver when they perform but only if it has positive message.hip hop is one of my genres in music but i'm a person who love and live music

Hip hop is simultaneously a new and old phenomenon; the importance of sampling to the art form means that much of the culture has revolved around the idea of updating classic recordings, attitudes, and experiences for modern audiences — called "flipping" within the culture.

HIP HOP is described
as a culture and form of ground breaking music and self expression with
elements that consisted of the elements of graffiti art, DJing, MCing, break
dance and other elements. Today Hip-Hop is considered to be dead in the
mainstream because so-called mainstream Hip-Hop doesn't have the elements of
hip-hop and have no meaning.
