Sisters 'n Rap was invited to BEYOND EXPECTATION ENVIRONMENTAL PROJECT as they were celebrating 10 year years of existing as an organisation runs by young people

Sisters ‘n Rap was invited by one of the BEEP member Nosabatha Mnyatheli
Who attend school in Ntsebenziswa Senior Secondary School in Phillipi Cape Town over the weekend ’24 Oct 2015’ as BEEP was celebrating their 10 years existing as the organization.
Beyond Expectation Environmental Project is a grassroots for youth by youth environmental organisation, which educates youth from previously disadvantaged backgrounds on environmental issues whilst simultaneously tackling some of the many social issues faced in their communities

BEEP was founded by a young man name Lindela Mjenxane stay in Phillipi who saw a need of this organisation to help young people to know more about the environment as they spend most of their camping time at the Table Mountain. Who later was joined by Khanyiswa Zangqa (Board member) who now opened the new BEEP organisation at the Eastern Cape eNgcobo. With the help of Lungisa’s Mother BEEP is what it is today because of Lungiswa Mjenxane. Many of these children are trapped in an environment dominated by poverty, lack of information, and the communities that has high rates of crime the gangsters that are fighting within the school premises and drinking spot that are within houses.

BEEP is not only teaching them about nature it’s also teaching them:
-About life the responsibilities they should take.
How to overcome their challenges in life.
-On how to deal with personal issues.
-It also helps them to speak their mind.
-To open their inner voice.
As I was listening to their juniors, seniors and Mentors of BEEF I’ve noticed that they not scared of speaking in a Hall full of young and old people because BEEP taught them about public speaking. They have developed their self-esteem, self-image and self-confidence.
During their meetings each member is given an opportunity to talk about their challenges they are facing at home and also at school. Some children don’t have the father figure but with Lindela’s help and love they know the love of a father. Some don’t stay with their mothers but Khanyiswa showed the love of a mother.

What I love about BEEP is you find the three types of ART which is Drama, Dance and Music within the BEEP members. They don’t have professional directors, choir master or producer but what they do in stage is marvellous.
The Old and Young people enjoyed the music as we were laughing together throughout the event.
