Monica Skota talks battles with Qhawe Melane

Morning SISTERS and of course our brothers in the RAP game....

Beyond this past weekend we experienced 1 of the best sessions we've by far in 2013, The WORDS & BEATS Session at the Baxter  Theatre Centre. We experience dope battles and before we upload a comprehensive report, we had a chat with some peeps and below is what they had to say:

Sister Monica chats with Qhawe.

Monica Mabhayi Skota:
As you were the 1st artist 2 the battle at the previous session what changes would you come up with beyond the 4 battle that happened this past satadae. Or what needs 2 be done in order to improve the battle scene at the Words and Beats sessions?

Qhawe Tha Beatmania Melane:
Oh ok 1st the mics are always a weakness, when an emcee battles holding a mic its not as comfortable as without it! the emcee must bring his/her A-game by that I mean atlist noba ur linez are wack but u must be confident about em!the crowd must give an emcee a chance to spit his/her linez then clap or boo after his/her verse!the judges must not listen to the crowd they must listen to the emcees!

Monica Mabhayi Skota:

So the judges fail through listening 2 the crowd?

Qhawe Tha Beatmania Melane:

The thing about the crowd is!Qhawe will come with his 50 4rndz and wanda comes with his 10 4rndz so who will win according to the crowd?obviously Qhawe!

Monica Mabhayi Skota:
So the judge must not listen 2 the crowd?

Qhawe Tha Beatmania Melane:

Ewe coz the crowd will cheer 4 their 4rnd/bf/homie/ I think they must listen to the emcees linez not crowd's noise

Monica Mabhayi Skota:

Thanx tata
